The wart can be flat or protruding resembling the skin growths. The warts may also be similar to the corns which co-exist with the peeling epidermis. They are white, yellowish or greyish and greenish. HPV virus is easily contagious. It is infectious and may become inflammatory. That is the reason why verrucas shall be removed. The older the wart the deeper it is grown in the skin and later it may become extremely painful. This is a long-term treatment which requires self-discipline, and cooperation between patient and podologist. In order to combat the virus the antiviral environment shall be created i.e. applying the proper agent which causes rejection of the virus-infected cells. The silver nitrate may be applied on the affected part of the body. Cryotherapy with nitrous oxide may be also utilized in this case.
